Rev. Linda M. Downing is the
founder and leader of Christian Training Ministries, Inc., a nondenominational ministry located in Sebring, Florida, and member
of Christian International Apostolic Network. She holds a B.A. in English from
Florida Southern College and an M.A. in Biblical Literature from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Her background supports her desire to cross denominational and cultural barriers: granddaughter of a Southern Baptist minister, pulpit training under a Methodist minister, instruction in
Israel under a Benedictine priest, and nondenominational ordination through Christian International, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
Rev. Downing’s years
in ministry have included the production of a gospel record album, Bible teaching tapes, and a radio program. In addition, she is a Christian writer who has published articles in The
Upper Room, Vital Christianity, Christian Retailing, and The Christian Communicator. A book she co-authored with Martha
Lucia, The Gate of Prayer, was published in 2001 by Christian International Ministries
and commended to the Church by its Bishop Bill Hamon. In December 2006 she began writing a newspaper column entitled “Side-By-Side:
Seeking Simple Truth” for the Highlands Today section of the Tampa Tribune.
With an emphasis on sound Bible
teaching, a vision to establish Bible training for the five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11), as well as the whole Body of Christ,
Rev. Downing calls forth the “100% Church,” a prophetic ministry with an apostolic heart. Check out the website of Christian Training Ministries at ctmforme.com.
